This Producer Of Tracks Agreement (Royalty/Song Rights) is a contract used by producers of music recordings in the hip-hop, rap and pop markets when contracting with a record label. The producer writes the music and creates a recorded track of the music for the singer/ rapper/ vocalist to sing or rap over. This agreement sets forth terms whereby the artist hiring the producer will own the recording as a work made-for-hire but the producer will retain the rights to the music of the song written by the producer that is recorded on the musical track. The producer will be paid a fee, a separate royalty from the sale of audio products or exploitations of the musical track and publishing royalties as the writer of the music.
