This Producer of Tracks License (Non Exclusive), sometimes also referred to as a “Lease” is used by hip-hop, rap or pop producers of music recordings. Some producers licensing or leasing their musical tracks on Soundclick.com have used this contract. It’s really designed for an artist that is developing and uses the music on demo recordings and not for commercial release. The producer creates the music and a recorded track which the singer/ rapper/ vocalist will sing or rap over. Because this is only a non-exclusive license, the ownership of the recording (and the music) remains with the producer who also licenses it for other artists to use too to add lyrics too.
