The Master Use License (Mulitimedia Game) is used by the owner (record label or artist) of a master recording to grant a license for a multi-media game (or video game) designer to use the recording in a multi-media game. A separate synchronization use license is needed from the owner (publisher or songwriter) of the song (words and music) embodied in the recording that will be used.
