This Music Producer Record Company Agreement is an extensive
contract used when a producer enters into a contract with a record
company to produce one of the record company's artist it has under
contract. This contract pays the producer a royalty based on a
traditional royalty structure based on a percentage of the suggested
retail list price of the album or single. It can also be used by an
artist on a label to hire the producer. In this instance, the producer
agrees to deliver the master recording of the artist to the record
company and the record company agrees to pay the producer a fee, give
the producer a budget to record the artist and pay royalties to the
producer from the sale of the records.
