This Music Producer Record Company Agreement is an extensive contract used when a producer enters into a contract with a record company to produce one of the record company's artist it has under contract. This contract pays the producer a royalty based on a traditional royalty structure based on a percentage of the suggested retail list price of the album or single. It can also be used by an artist on a label to hire the producer. In this instance, the producer agrees to deliver the master recording of the artist to the record company and the record company agrees to pay the producer a fee,give the producer a budget to record the artist and pay royalties to the producer from the sale of the records.
