This Music Publishing Contract is used by a record company to sign a recording artist that writes songs to its publishing company affiliate. The agreement runs concurrently with the recording agreement. The publisher acquires the copyrights to songs written by the writer/artist. The publisher and the artist/writer share the income from the songs 50/50.
